Are most of the journals here are friends only these days? I am new and intend to keep mine open to everyone but am wondering if the old timers here know something I haven't learned yet and that's why most are keeping the journals friends only.

I think lots of people who post about their work lives (or their children) keep their posts locked for privacy, but if you're not sharing anything identifiable (or don't care) then you're probably OK.

Usually through a friending meme these days (there was one recently here (http://lavenderfieldss.livejournal.com/35045.html), it may still be going) or if you're members of the same community and get along in comments and such.
